Kalwaria: more accessible, modern and open

A more accessible, modern and open Kalwaria.

One of the key objectives of the project ‘New Tourist Attractions at the Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – a UNESCO World Heritage Site’ is to ensure that the Sanctuary is even better equipped to meet the needs of a diverse range of visitors.

The new offering will be developed with a view to visitors to Kalwaria, whether they are visiting individually or in groups, as well as families, older people, people with disabilities and users of the online service.

Plans include audio guides, virtual tours, facilities for the hard of hearing, translations and solutions to improve accessibility for visitors.

This marks the start of initiatives designed to combine the protection of this unique UNESCO heritage site with a modern and more accessible way of experiencing it.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment 2021–2027 (FEnIKS) programme.
