Beauty saved and saving

See how Fr. Tarsycjusz Bukowski, OFM – the Sanctuary’s spokesman – gave a presentation with the poetic title: “Beauty Saved and Saved. The function of church music on the example of the Passion and Marian Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska”. Fr. Tarsycjusz discussed the function of music in the Church on the example of the Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. During the lecture, the speaker richly illustrated the discussion of ancient musical notations. He presented the intentions of sacred music:

“From the relationship of music with the word and liturgical texts, one can understand that music, in a sense, becomes the first hermeneutic of the celebrated word and in a way allows us to taste the word, leads us to contemplate and admire the Mystery celebrated in the liturgy. J.Pique Collado”
