A project is being launched that will combine heritage conservation with new visitor experiences -> “New tourist attractions at the Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – a UNESCO World Heritage Site”.
Its aim is not only to protect the Sanctuary’s valuable buildings, but also to create a modern, accessible and attractive offering for pilgrims, tourists, residents and visitors from both home and abroad.
The project includes, among other things, conservation work in the Basilica, the renovation of eight chapels along the Path of Our Lady, and the refurbishment of the “Bread Cottage”.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment 2021–2027 (FEnIKS) programme.
