Conservation work

We would like to bring a little closer to the subject of the conservation work that is underway on the chapels.
In his presentation titled “The course of conservation work at the chapels on the Pathways of the Virgin Mary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska,” Dr. Krystyna Koziel presented his conservator’s perspective on the rescue efforts. He also outlined the methods of evaluation and methods of action in specific cases of individual historic altars, sculptures and paintings, which his studio deals with. Focusing on the cultural heritage of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, Dr. Koziel also presented what methods and tools are used in conservation work. Finally, he told what challenges conservation workers face when working on altars and monumental sculptures.
